Disclaimers / Disclosures

We wanted to create this page to clear up any confusion about how we create the content of this website, what our relationships are with the manufacturers in the industry, etc.  We believe in transparency, and we want to use this page to be as transparent as possible with all aspects of our website.  We are also disclosing this information in an effort to be in accordance with the FTC’s “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising“. 16 CFR, Part 255

Receiving Free Products

In some cases for our reviews, we received the product for free in exchange for us considering writing a review.  Just because we receive a product does not mean we will publish a review.  We didn’t start this website so that we could write scathing reviews of products.  If we don’t think a goggle lives up to our standards, then we will not write a review on our site. With that being said, we have received the following products for free:

Glade Challenger goggles

Glade Pulsar goggles

Glade Tenmile Helmet

Affiliate Links

In some cases on our reviews you may find “affiliate links.”  Essentially what that means is that if you click the link and make a purchase, we will receive a commission.  This comes at no cost to you whatsoever.  It simply means that the origin of the sale is tracked back to our website.  We may also provide a coupon for a product that is used to track the source of a sale, for which we are then compensated.

We may also may link to general e-commerce sites where we receive an affiliate commission, though we have no direct relationship with the company that manufactures the product (eg we link to the particular goggle via Moosejaw and receive a commission, though this is purely a relationship with Moosejaw, and not a relationship with that goggle company).  These ecommerce sites include:

Moosejaw
